Pictou County Cycle and ECMTB.com present Girlschool - an Introductory Mtn. Bike Clinic for Women
Pictou County Cycle and ECMTB.com are proud to present Girlschool, a one day introductory mountain bike clinic for women aged 12 to 140. The clinic will take place Saturday, May 26th in Trenton Park, Pictou County. The fee is $10. Instructors Sherry Huybers and Sue Earle will cover basic mountain bike skills, safety, and trail etiquette as well as some simple mechanical repairs.
Sherry is a Level 3 NCCP Certified mountain bike coach and former Head Coach of the Nova Scotia Canada Games Cycling Team. She has 15 years of mountain bike experience including a stellar racing career at the Expert/Elite level.
Sue is co-owner and Editor in Chief of ECMTB.com. Her 17 years of mountain bike experience include racing in several disciplines, co-founding a women's mountain bike club and organizing a variety of mountain bike events including skills clinics and trail maintanance days.
Join Sherry and Sue to discover how to get the most out of your mountain bike. The environment will be fun and relaxed, lunch will be provided and prize draws will happen throughout the day. Registration starts at 9:30 and the clinic starts at 10 and runs till 4. The morning session will consist of intensive learning and then after lunch we'll take to the trails to put that knowledge into action.

What you need: a functioning mountain bike (brakes and gears must be in working order), helmet, gloves and comfortable clothing are recommended. You should also have some method of carrying water with you while you ride (a bike-mounted bottle or a backpack with a water bladder.)
