FRont 2 - Freeride Ontario **Now in stock

FRont2 delivers an impressive show right from the start. Poisonfrog Productions hits the nail on the head with this impressive cut of Eastern Canadian riding and keeps you riveted to the screen until the end of the show. Editing and music are nice and tight.
Being an Eastern Canadian movie it's almost as if we're sitting in the shadows of the west, but this movie flicks on all the bright lights to cast away those shadows. With the likes of Aaron Chase, Morley, Ryan Senechal, Mike Gooch, Dan Bax, Mike Headford and lots more impressive riders. Look for the easterners to shake up the two-wheeled world in more films and competitions to come.

FRont2 features some progressive urban riding, jaw-dropping park riding and loads of trails and stunts which make this video stand out as one of the more diverse shows of riding we've seen in a while. The flavour of the video seems almost European. Smooth edits, no overly complicated camera work and seamless cuts from hit to hit. It reminds me a lot of one of the Road Fools / Props productions. This is a good thing in my books.

Some of the moves that stood out in this movie to me are Ryan Senechal's fakie grind on the box. There is some insane Bromont DH riding, including a few great cuts of Balfa's Matthieu Laurin. One of the shots of Morley riding a rounded handrail looks nearly impossible, but he pulls it off. Aaron Chase puts together every combination of fakie, 180, 360, stall, grind and tweak in some of the park scenes. Nigel Quarless throws 180s off everything, manuals every wall and ledge as well. This is some truly impressive riding.
There's a baffling feature on the 24 Bikes crew as well. One thing I have to wonder about those riders is why they do not ever wear helmets? After some of the crashes we've seen that have touched us all personally, you'd think some of this crew would be wearing their helmets at the dinner table.
Not all is peaceful and flow in this flick. Some of the crashes will make you feel the pain sitting in your seat. The carnage section shares some nice bloody treats with us as well. It's enough to make you shake your head.
Unfortunately, this movie seems short. At 22 minutes, there is a set of credits. Keep watching, the 24 ride will play and then follow with some more footage.
This is an excellent film that does the eastern riding community proud. Great work to Lee and crew @ Poisonfrog. For a relatively short feature, this holds your attention from the opening shots. Two thumbs up for FRont2.
